On October 23rd, during the 7th Annual Leadership Luncheon, Chris Dunkeson, Area Vice President, Comcast announced that Comcast is partnering with the Domestic Violence Resource Center as a Matching Donation Sponsorship.
During the final quarter of the calendar year, Comcast will match every individual donor’s dollar for dollar up to $7,500. After the announcement, Mr. Dunkeson said through a tweet “Whether it’s connecting victims to resources or helping stop the cycle of violence, @DVRCNM is making a difference. Proud that @ComcastNM is part of it.”
Amy Whitfield, Executive Director, DVRC, Inc. stated, “It is because of the support of Comcast and businesses like them that we can continue services to domestic violence victims and child witnesses. Additionally, a proud sponsorship like this sends a message to victims that the community stands by you.” Comcast has been an ongoing supporter of DVRC, Inc. the past few years through sponsorship of the annual luncheon and also through their Comcast Essentials program, which provides affordable, high-speed internet for low income households.
