DVRC Counseling Services

DVRC provides a variety of counseling services to domestic violence victims and their families.

Counseling

DVRC Counselors provide short-term (6-9 months) of individual counseling, free of charge, to any client with a history of experiencing or witnessing domestic violence in their relationships and/or in their childhood. We also work with victims of sexual assault, incest and molestation.

Our counselors utilize various models of counseling in order to individualize treatment plans specific to victims.

All counselors come from a Trauma Informed Care foundation in order to provide crisis intervention and help victims process trauma associated with domestic violence.

Our counselors are trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR), Solution Focused Therapy, Client-Centered Therapy and Group training in order to provide true healing and recovery from domestic violence.
